Son Tra Resort & Spa

We really loved our stay here. I’m giving them four stars instead of five because the reality doesn’t quite live up to the photos in the pictures. However, this place really won us over with the tranquility and truly excellent staff. Son Tra is like a little jungle paradise. Our villa had a stunning beach view and we loved laying on the loungers by our private pool and listening to the waves. The resorts private beach is absolutely perfect, there were never more than ten people on the beach. It was so intimate and serene. The restaurant food is pretty fine, but could do with a few more Vietnamese classics. The fresh juices were lovely and the cocktails are pleasant. The staff really are a standout here! They’re always willing to help. They check in on you every morning to help you find experiences, but are never pushy. They also recommended us an excellent driver, who really made all our adventures in Da Nang a pleasure. If you stay here ask them to recommend Tuan to drive you around Da Nang!

We stayed for three nights in an oceanfront villa (number 102) and everything was absolutely wonderful. The villa itself is huge, and since we were just the two of us we mainly used the master bedroom facing the sea — waking up to that view was incredible. One of the most special things was the terrace, which is literally less than a meter from the sea, in a slightly secluded corner of the bay. It’s incredibly peaceful, and at night you can easily fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The villa has a private pool and the whole area feels very quiet, calm, and private. There’s also a beautiful private beach with very comfortable sunbeds and thick mattresses. You can order directly from the bar and they bring fresh juices super delicious Breakfast was good, but what really stood out was the service: impeccable. The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. We truly felt looked after. The peninsula itself is super green, tranquil, and feels like a dream a real paradise, especially compared to nearby Da Nang, which is much more chaotic, bright, and busy. Staying here felt like being in another world. The girl from reception was incredibile, so nice! We honestly had an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for more. A truly wonderful experience.

We so enjoyed having the big beach-front house to ourselves. It's like self-catering but better, as daily cleaning and the amazing varied buffet breakfast was included in the £110 we paid per night. Such a Beautiful location too, a 15min drive from the hustle and bustle of Da Nang city. This is affordable luxury!!

We had a great stay at Son tra resort and spa. The staff were very attentive and helpful, they kindly set up the room for a birthday surprise before arrival. The room had amazing views of the ocean/da nang city, and wonderful private pool! Gorgeous quite place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Free shuttle bus daily to town was also great.

Problems with hot water, amenities listed but were not available such as laundry or the use of the hot tubs and bathtubs within the rooms. Complained about the hot water, after returning to our room and not being able to take even a lukewarm shower, staff sent a repair person who tried fixing the problem for a few min and then told us to wait for the heater to refill, which was repeated until about 2am. The next day, we moved to a different room which had very little warm water, and was told by the staff that the pumps that are not able to support more than a 5 min shower, and was definitely not enough to fill the GIANT hot tubs/bathtubs within the units. Manager was unhelpful when confronted about problems. Staff is attentive but there seemed to always be someone inside or walking by our windows of our villa, and there was absolutely no privacy. Workers coming by during the day and fixing projects on the buildings while shouting and using power tools. For the price, it is definitely not worth it. Staff is aware of the problems but seems to get no help from the owner. would have loved to spend more time here and enjoy the facilities, but the whole experience was tainted by constant problems, no privacy, and management who were looking to "make a deal" to get us not to report the problems. Since our stay, the location has dodged all of the requests from booking.com and has not responded.
